Natural Product Library: Partnership with MacMillan laboratory at UCSC
MacMillan Lab | Center for High Content Functional Annotation of Natural Products
The UCB Drug Discovery center has entered a partnership with the MacMillan Lab and The Center for High Content Functional Annotation of Natural Products (HiFAN) at UCSC to make a unique natural product library available for screening at UCB: The MacMillan laboratory natural product library consists of 10000 fractions derived from marine bacteria, averaging 1-5 compounds per fraction. The material can be regenerated, and the MacMillan laboratory are experts in isolating active ingredients with biological activity for further studies.
