Leoson Junior Ssetaba joined CEND in September, 2019 as the Africa Advisor for the Alliance for Global Health and Sciences. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Makerere University, Kampala. Leoson Jr, a member of Global NAMRIP, has done voluntary work in advocacy for biomedical sciences and biomedical scientists in Africa through chairing Makerere University’s First African Biomedical Scientists’ Conference, 2019 and celebrating the Biomedical Science Day in Uganda together with students and faculty at Makerere. He is a use based/basic science enthusiast and is interested in a career in biomedical scientific research. When neither at school nor at work, Leoson Jr spends time learning new languages, studying politics, working out and dancing to Michael Jackson music.
