2017 Pacific Tuberculosis Pathogenesis and Host-Response Research Retreat (PacTB)

March 29-30, 2017 at the University of California, Berkeley

The PacTB retreat, hosted by the UC Berkeley Henry Wheeler Center for Emerging and Neglected Diseases (CEND), will bring together the West Coast’s rich academic TB research community for the first time. TB researchers at all levels are encouraged to participate, and presentations will be focused primarily on students and postdoctoral fellows, providing an informal setting to share research, foster collaborations, and have fun.

PacTB will be an opportunity for you to:

• Present short talks in an informal and supportive setting.
• Learn what other TB labs are doing from a diverse group of peers.
• Hear new narratives that won’t be discussed at the large TB meetings.
• Explore new large-scale discovery technologies to attack TB pathogenesis.
• Network with other TB researchers and faculty.
• Have a blast! We have some fun events planned, and there will be time to explore Berkeley.
